Membership Fee – Stall Holders

The membership fee includes the benefit of 12 months access to public liability insurance cover but not product liability cover, under policy number 02 A279168 PLB entered into by Traders Voice with QBE Insurance (Australia) Limited ABN 78 003 191 035, AFS Licence No. 239545 T/a QBE Australia. (See Important Information on the Insurance benefits below for details).

Product Liability: Access to the product liability cover must be applied for separately, is subject to acceptance by the insurer and incurs an additional amount payable. Access to product liability cover runs from the time the insurer grants you access to such cover until the time your access to public liability cover ends for the first year’s membership period.

Refund Policy: A standard membership fee of $185* (AUD) is payable by all stall holders when they join. This fee is non-refundable due to the terms of arrangements that Traders Voice has in place.
*The standard membership fee of $185 (AUD) may increase based on your insurance history.

Membership Fee – Organisers

A different membership fee will apply to Organiser members that get the benefit of 12 months access to public liability insurance cover but not product liability cover, under a Policy Traders Voice holds with QBE Insurance (Australia) Ltd (See Important Information on the Insurance benefits below for details).

Refund Policy: If an Organiser member has been granted access to cover for stall holder activities as well as organiser activities, the part of their membership fee for stall holder activities will be non-refundable – see the Traders Voice’s Insurance Benefits Information.

Product Liability: Access to the product liability cover must be applied for separately, is subject to acceptance by the insurer and incurs an additional amount payable. Access to product liability cover runs from the time the insurer grants you access to such cover until the time your access to public liability cover ends for its first year’s membership period.

All transactions processed are in Australian Dollars (AUD)

Important Information on the Insurance benefits

Traders Voice provides no advice on the insurance benefits. To understand the nature of the insurance, the cover provided and your rights under it, please read Traders Voice’s Insurance Benefits Information. You must read this document carefully before applying for membership.

Interested Parties & Unnamed Principals

Cover under the policy between QBE Australia and Traders Voice is extended to your unnamed principals. Unnamed principals are covered by reason of Definition 1.28(h) as amended by the policy schedule:
“(h) any person or entity with whom the relevant Insured or Covered Person has entered into an agreement for the purposes of the relevant Insured or Covered Person’s Business, but only for or in relation to Occurrences for which the relevant Insured or Covered Person would themselves be liable in the absence of the agreement (subject always to the extent of coverage and the Limit of Liability provided by this policy)”

Duty of Disclosure

Under the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (the Act) you have a Duty of Disclosure. You are required before you enter into, renew, vary, extend or reinstate your Policy, to tell us everything you know and that a reasonable person in the circumstances could be expected to know, is a matter that is relevant to our decision whether to insure you, and anyone else to be insured under the Policy, and if so, on what terms.

You do not have to tell us about any matter

  • That diminishes the risk
  • That is of common knowledge
  • That we know or should know in the ordinary course of our business as an insurer, or
  • Which we indicate we do not want to know

If you do not tell us
If you do not comply with your Duty of Disclosure we may reduce or refuse to pay a claim or cancel your Policy. If your non-disclosure is fraudulent we may treat this Policy as never having worked.

Privacy Statement

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information you provide to advise about and assist with your insurance needs. We only provide your information to the companies with whom you choose to deal (and their representatives). We do not trade, rent or sell your information.
If you don’t provide us with full information, we can’t properly advise you and you could breach your duty of disclosure. You can check the information we hold about you at any time.

Security Policy

When purchasing from Traders Voice your financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology. 128-bit SSL encryption is the current industry standard. Terms and Conditions

By completing the membership application, you confirm you:

(a) Have accessed, read and understood the Traders Voice Insurance Benefits Information, Policy, Policy Schedule and Terms & Conditions; and your Duty of Disclosure and Privacy Statement.
(b) Confirm that we have not provided any advice in relation to the insurance benefits and that you are responsible for determining whether they are appropriate for your needs or not.
(c) Understand no access to cover is provided under the Policy for product liability until the Insurer approves access and you receive a Certificate of Insurance confirming you have been provided with access to product liability cover. If not, the product liability exclusion in the Policy Schedule will continue to apply.
